South Dakota pheasant hunting is at it's absolute best again this year. For the past 6 years the pre-season pheasant count in South Dakota has topped 8 million birds. This year will be no exception at River Hills Lodge. With our mild winter and plenty of rain this spring, the grasses are tall and the crops are excellent.

River Hills Lodge is located on 16,000 acres within the heart of pheasant country. The uniqueness and quality offered in our Lodges brings our hunters back year after year. Our October and November hunt dates fill up quickly so book early to ensure your reservation. Hunt sunup to sundown on over 2,500 acres surrounding the lodge. You'll find us just a couple miles west and south of the town of Platte, South Dakota. Follow Interstate 90 west of Sioux Falls, then take Highway 45 south for 25 miles to town.
